Frustration |
I bought this keyboard thinking that it would be of good quality (as Microsoft mouse products are). It was a mistake. The quality of this keyboard is average. Its major problem is that the keys are relatively hard to press. Basically, after a few hours of typing I had finger pains... This is a pity cause everything else about this keyboard (design, etc.) was nice!

Microsoft Excells (Yet Again!) |
An excellent high quality piece of Microsoft hardware. The keys are quiet and generally the whole unit is well built. The extra USBs are extremely useful, especially if you have a Digital Camera. The launch keys are also a useful tool and can be customised to suit your needs. Some people say it is too high, but it gives a nice height to type at and feels more moulded to the writing position. A worth-while buy which is slightly more expensive, but worth its weight in gold. Top notch!

Great software but very high off the desk |
I got this keyboard yesterday and used it all day. It works great with a Mac (I ignored the CD and downloaded the latest software from the microsoft website). The software give you an extra control panel that lets you reassign the buttons to do pretty much anything - so you dont have to use them for internet functions if you dont want to. There are options to make the buttons do keboard shortcuts - so that you can assign one of the keys to command -s (save), etc. You can even make the extra buttons do different things in different applications, which could be be very useful. So the keys and software are great, however the keyboard is really big and very high off the desk - about twice the height of a regular PC keyboard when youve got the feet up at the back. I didnt think that this was too bad yesterday, but today my forearms really hurt! Ive had to pinch the regular keyboard off an iMac and stop using the new MS keyboard - hence the low rating.
